I read a bit of it near the end;

 Kendi fashions himself a revolutionary, but like the radical-chic activists before him, he will likely be absorbed into the fabric of elite institutions, where supposedly radical ideas are cosseted into conventional wisdom  

So, I think Coni's trying to say something like

You had an opportunity to turn this thing around in the late 60s
Lost ur way getting your selves back to the garden
Sold ur souls for 'progress', shiny objects - propaganda on a massive scale
Armies of marketing gurus, lawyers, tech and War Chest of blood money from exploited commons.
Not that complex - follow the money.
