Oh, I think that is going a bit too far calling AVXL a religion. There certainly are people that are firmly convinced that it has a different MOA that will work across a broad swath of CNS diseases.
But then SAVA has the same sort of devotees and believers in its MOA.
SAVA has said that it wants to be bought out. AVXL has said it will go it alone until it gets to AD. So the two are not that different with SAVA starting with AD and AVXL working up to AD.
Exactly. Why would SAVA want a drug that hasn't shown to improve AD? The big money (couple hundred millions dollars) was put down here to get this promising drug to market as quick as possible if results continue to prove out, not take on added risk.
