I wanted to be a little more awake before replying to you. A FOIA couldn't hurt anything. Going by dated recall, you have to specify the intended use for the requested information. They will charge you, unless you make the reason they shouldn't. You have to be careful about how the information you want is formatted, digital versus hard copy, for instance, or you could end up with a truckload of documents in cardboard boxes. This may subject your personal correspondence, emails, etc., to ongoing review by government agencies. And your request will be public record, along with the reply result.

Xavier Becerra, HHS Secretary, actually has views pretty similar to Durrant and Chappell. If you read the filings the company made in attempting to secure a Priority Review Voucher for Chagas Disease, you will see a very liberal side to our Executives. This pertains to the interview Durrant gave to "The Inclusive Voice" (?) moderator, also, who was very interested in the company's doubling of the Black/African-American population in our ACTIV5 trial. I just think our team might click, philosophically, with Becerra. Asking to meet with Becerra might result in him looking into this willful negligence by the NIH and the FDA. He wouldn't necessarily have to get his Inspector General involved, unless he is so outraged that he just refers the case to them in the first place.
