Re SWAV ..owned it since soon after its IPO . I have CAD ( coronary artery disease ) , had an angiogram and are currently on max drug therapy ( Crestor , Repatha , Vascepa ) as existing coronary plaques deemed not large enough to warrant " stenting " . My lipid disorder is inherited He FH
I have a friend with same lipid disorder ..early 80's ..who has been told he needs a CABG ( heart bypass ) . He's declined that procedure and is exploring the SWAV approach ...using shockwaves balloons to improve coronary artery blood flow .
I think we will see more of this ...shockwave instead of CABG in the elderly age group.
SWAV is in the process of obtaining approval in Japan . When that comes thru I expect significant demand there as Japanese CAD patients are adverse to having stents inserted to improve bold flow.
Theres also increasing demand for below the knee applications ...far safer than rotablation as distal embolisms following procedure are rare with Shockwave and occur in about 7% of the cases using rotoblation .

I like the data I've seen so far for PTGX ...second largest position . KOD is basically a bet that the Baker Bros know what they are doing ( they own about 28% of the outstanding stock I think ) ALEC ..a bet that GSK is smarter them moi , AMRN ...cos I like and take the drug and it may help re lowering Covid hospitalization rate .
Rest are just small specs
Re AMRN ... PREPARE-IT 1 trial data due to be presented on 28th I believe . PREPARE -IT 2 is the data I want to see .

I still read the board but much of my time recently is in Fintech ( or related / marketing ) positions ...UPST being my biggest position there .
