Before the Afghan government started peace negotiations with the Taliban Trump made a peace agreement with them undercutting the ability of negotiations even starting between the Taliban and Afghan government. Plus Trump let out of prison 5,000 Taliban fighters. He further set limits on our withdrawal. TRUMP set a date of May 1, 2021 for complete US withdrawal - UNDERSTAND? All the Taliban had to do was wait
