tmcc: It is nice that they are getting products on the EMall. However, I don't see that much of a government market for a small biometric safe that is selling for just under 500.00.
Every government office that needs a safe already has one.
There isn't a government office that needs 1-second access to the contents of its safe, so there is no need to replace any existing safes.
Now, is it good advertisement to government employees who want to buy something for themselves? Perhaps, but I believe that they would have to be searching the EMall specifically for a safe in order to find the KeepSafe, though I may be wrong on that.
And I doubt that there is much of a market with the military, as well. They also have safes wherever needed, adn one with 1-second access may be useful in combat zones, but in such zones, grunts usually have their weapons at the ready always.
The market for this safe is with the gun owners. But that market is also, IMNSVHO, cut down to people willing to spend well over 500.00 (with shipping and tax) for it, particularly when a web search or trip to Amazon finds identical models for much less (a Froogle.com search for biometric safes doesn't even list the KeepSafe - a search for the BioVault finds at least 12 companies selling it for 399.99 down to 339.99).
It's a nice item, but I really don't understand why CyberKey, supposedly the best customer of Sequim for this product, can't beat or at least match the competition for this product.
Time will tell on this, particularly financials...
