that's what happened last week or two when tda sent notices to people and stocks dropped. Also schwab just recently sent notices but not as much selling, since more people use tda. The thing is if you are confident that the stock is gonna be current by end of september, then i would add the cheapies if the stock is not current by tda, schwab, deadline date. Really those are the only two i know of so far that set that august deadline. The other main broker etrade says they will still allow buying till end of september for stocks that aren't current.

that is if you use broker other than tda/schwab then can buy on the panic sells if stock is not current by their august due date.
