I was aware of the gravity effect. I wasn't aware of how pronounced it was. That said, Florida is definitely fucked.

the guy talks about isostatic rebound, but there is about as far as he connects with what I was taught. He totally neglects the significant effect of less dense fresh water being dumped into salt water... it floats on top, and the last glacial melting period at the end of the last ice age caused the gulf stream to stop, after the Younger-Dryas interstadial period of cooling then rapid warming occurred. The climate effects of stopping the gulf stream were significant and changed human history.

Humans left the scene in north america for a thousand years in north america. It is why there is clovis, then nothing in the record, a clean layer, then modern native american habitation.

The correlation between global temps and sea level is well documented. That is why early humans in north america that lived on the seashore's camps are now about 150-200 feet under the sea after the glacial melting.

The guy has some interesting theories, which may or may not be confirmed, but he certainly isn't the definitive say in the science of deglaciation. His gravity theory is a head-shaker, but we will see his data some day, perhaps.

Yup, sorry Fua I should have included links for that thread - and agree; it is too much to expect readers here to all have photographic memories, lol..

I see climate science including this gravity effect got further discussed and look forward to taking the time.. some smart cookies here ;), thanks!.
