He totally neglects the significant effect of less dense fresh water being dumped into salt water... it floats on top, and the last glacial melting period at the end of the last ice age caused the gulf stream to stop, after the Younger-Dryas interstadial period of cooling then rapid warming occurred. The climate effects of stopping the gulf stream were significant and changed human history.
