LOL! Unless the placebo group was being compared to current care, which would be a completely unethical trial, you could never make that comparison of course.

Anyone who professes to be speculating on biopharma stocks should know that of course.

They should also know the field is littered with studies where the placebo plus current care group did much better than expected to at least rival the active intervention plus current care arm.

Most often that’s attributed to a larger than expected placebo effect.

BTW you do understand that the Hawthorn effect is not the same thing as the placebo effect, don’t you?
