Plenty of Nice State Beaches down there (Perfect Weather for Boomers)-Especially Black Beach- for the Perverts.

Some world class surfing too - I've still got friends in Carlsbad and Oceanside (who's real estate also went mega bucks now) - and they are in their 50's now and still surf the breaks off the old nuke plant San Onofre:

Just down the road is the OC and of course infamous "The Wedge" at Newport Beach which is more body surfing but a hell of a lot of broken necks and paralyzed dudes and legendary swells that go literally vertical and come from two directions to collide and then pound one straight down into the sand when the storm fronts are just right.

I've hit it a few times and I used to be a real top swimmer when in my peak years of conditioning, or I'd never even have tried it - but it's great just for entertainment value of watching dudes and dude-ettes get crushed like in a pile driver LOL !

LOTS of "alternative medicine" types in the land of fruits and nuts :)
