I buy filet mignon from the grocery store--Safeway--$21.99 a pound, because it has low fat and one of my family members cannot chew anything that isn't tender.

Personally, I like flank steak, which is CHEAP! I marinate it for 24 hours in a concoction of olive oil, lemon juice, rosemary, garlic, and a little cumin. YUM!
