#375465 RE: Da Kine 17 #375464

Da Kine 17, That level of cynicism in the face of overwhelming evidence is a sign of something i'll choose not to state in this post. You are a shining example of one of the problems your country has.

"Respectfully, I disagree... I think the numbers are / were inflated for political purposes.
“Comparing the death counts between the 1918 Flu and Covid-19 without adjusting for population growth is extremely misleading.
"

So now YOU have jumped from your saying no excess deaths from 2019 to 2020 figures to comparing 1918 flu death figures with todays??? If you are replying there to the post i guessed you were, then you have jumped to an entirely different topic.

Ok, i checked. And YES you have totally changed the subject.

Were you aware you did? That's the only thing i'm not certain of now. Are you really that mixed up that you didn't know you changed the topic to an entirely different one???

And sadly you - and Rupert Murdoch - are contributing to increasing psychic pollution in Australia too. See

Sky News Australia is tapping into the global conspiracy set – and it’s paying off

[...]

News Corp-owned channel is garnering millions of views across digital platforms with a slew of far-right conspiracies

[...]

Simultaneously Sky in Australia is lurching further to the right, producing more segments and specials designed to pique the interest of the conspiracy-minded, including the far-right media in the US.

[...]

Much of the growth in traffic is believed to be coming from the US – and the sharp spikes for particular videos are almost certainly from overseas viewers.

The internal data on skynews.com.au shows that around 30% of total views are coming from overseas, mainly from the US.

The “Fox News-isation” of the Australian media .. https://www.theguardian.com/media/australia-media .. was well underway thanks to Sky News Australia breeding climate change denialism and encouraging far-right political extremism, Rudd said.

The Great Reset

With QAnon followers grappling with the departure of former US president Donald Trump and the collapse of their narrative that he would rescue the country from a plot by the “deep state” and a paedophile cabal of Democrats, the Great Reset has become a new focus for QAnon supporters .. https://washingtonmonthly.com/2020/12/30/inside-the-many-conspiracy-theories-about-the-great-reset/ .. and their mistrust of governments.

The World Economic Forum is an annual event held in the Swiss ski resort of Davos, attended by some of the richest people on the planet.

It’s been co-chaired in the past by the likes of Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox and Sky News), along with some of the biggest names in business, banking and technology.

To date, the main criticism (from the left) has been centred on its elitism and that those who attend are out of touch with the lived experience of capitalism, whether it be low wages, poor working conditions or environmental degradation.

The Great Reset, the theme of the 2021 conference, was advanced by Britain’s Prince Charles last June .. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/jun/03/pandemic-is-chance-to-reset-global-economy-says-prince-charles . He wants the Davos participants and world leaders to look at using the recovery from the pandemic to create a more sustainable, kinder capitalism that harnesses science and technology to tackle the world’s problems, notably climate change.

But somehow the Great Reset has become part of rightwing conspiracy thinking .. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/dec/04/great-reset-capitalism-became-anti-lockdown-conspiracy .

Perhaps it was the somewhat unfortunate title, which has echoes of China’s Mao Zedong.

Da Kine 17, You - again maybe not realizing it - have become part of that which you profess to hate. You and Murdoch. How do you feel about that??
