Not that I'm suggesting you move back here based on the recent shooting in San Jose; but I think it would be interesting to explore your status.

On the surface it seems you have a legit claim to US citizenship.

I am actually working on attaining my Irish citizenship based on my grandmother having been born there.

The paperwork is tedious. But if it works I can pass Irish citizenship to our son.
