AstraZeneca: 300 million doses (two-dose regimen)
Novavax: 100 million doses (two-dose regimen)
Sanofi-GlaxoSmithKline: 100 million doses (one- or two-dose regimen)

The Sanofi/GSK vaccine failed in trials. Poof! So much for that 100M contracted doses.

The Novavax has yet to be submitted to the FDA for an EUA. With results being inferior to the mRNA vaccines.

The AstraZeneca vaccine has yet to get an EUA approval from the FDA. Current inventory is 30M, with the US offering to ship 60M to India.

J&J EUA approval occurred on 27-Feb.

What Biden said is largely true. When he took office the only approved vaccines on contract were from Pfizer, and Moderna. Having contracts to deliver 100M*2, would vaccinate 100M adults.

The US population consists of 209M adults. Thus: 209-100 = 109M shortfall.

Biden then signed a contract on 11-Feb for 200M more doses of vaccine. And although it might be difficult for you to comprehend, but the additional vaccine he contracted in were the two vaccines that had already received FDA EUA approval- Pfizer, and Moderna.

Likewise once J&J wiggles out of its manufacturing difficulties. probably 90% of that vaccine will be shipped to the ROW. Meanwhile the US population will be covered by the Pfizer, and Moderna vaccine... thanks to Joe for realizing there wasn't enough mRNA vaccine when he took office.
