No they didn't trial them for lupus of rhematoid arthritis. Just used them off label at doctor's discretion. No interferrence from FDA since a drug wasn't in the pipeline for lupus or ruhmetoid arthritis.
I can assure you, if an when big pharma wants to make a remedy for lupus of rhumatoid arthritis, there will be all kinds of findings that hydroxy is really deadly to be used for lupus and/or arthritis.
