There's no need for the vaccine, unless you are vulnerable. Most folks survive it and those that have difficulties have multiple therapeutics to get them thru.
And what about the people suffering from long COVID? No "therapeutics" help them. Except, in some cases, the vaccine. A number of long COVID sufferers have said their symptoms diminished when they had their first shot.
