I think you are right. Ease off on it. Don't pick on every tiny little crack. Or mistake. No one is perfect. Ok, pick it up if you feel like it, but move on to address the issue of systemic racism for instance. Be precise about what you mean by systemic racism. People would understand that.
The article i posted said many Republicans making hay with "woke" don't even know what it means. Still they can use it to sway voters.
It's just the age old story. Ease off just a bit where it's obvious an approach is hurting you.
