I will sit on a bench on Tryon Street uptown, eat my sub, and enjoy my surroundings.

I had to take a series of rabies vaccine shots a few years ago. It was either that or die. Rabies reaches a stage where it is 100 percent fatal without immediate treatment.

Thank goodness for the folks at my local county health department. They acted quickly.
