Hamvestor...very true but we did get a decent correction out of that divergence. Shorting when the market is making higher highs and the macd lower lows (or vice versa) is the time to move in...not after the move down has already been made...it allows you to "fade" the crowd. I covered about 2/3rds of my positions at the 50 day support zone. I wouldnt rule out a test of the prior peak or a possible lower high being put in place here as topping is a process.
