Great article on the Caremark/CVS debacle....
Sad how much greed and corporate malfeasance goes on as we as
"shareholders" think or perceive that we are investing, but rather just gambling that the companies will be on the up and up and that the market system will run and treat companies with fairness and efficiency....
After reading about the grossly massive "Christmas" bonuses paid out on Wall Street this past year, and the "golden parachute" and payout packages afforded to a select few while those in the trenches whom do the lions share of the work get
shafted, makes me want to pull my assets from the market and invest in a more integral, functional and less slimey business opportunities.....sad, how the markets were supposed to be for the masses, for them to be able to invest in corporate America and own a piece of the exponential growth in their own country, to own a piece of a company where they buy and utilize the products, where a new technology can be shared in by owning shares in a company such as Apple, Google,
HWP, Cisco etc........
But really we are feeding the greed and corruptness that is shrouded behind corporate walls and meeting rooms where middle to late aged MEN get to play the monopoly game with real money, that is shareholders money and reap massive amounts of ill begotten gains.....
As a man soweth, so shall he reap.........
The Dennis Kozlowski's of the corporate world with their $2 million birthday parties and $5,000 shower curtains are robbing the very people that keep this "inneficient" market
and illegal, corrupt system of raping corporate America funded with the hopes and dreams that they too could profit by having their hard earned capital investitures return to them profits that can afford them to enjoy life more and possibly retire from work earlier than usual.....
Too bad most of the investors in the markets will never be a David Geffen type whose parachute is 99.999% golden and that theirs is old and tattered canvas that has more holes in it
then an American flag hanging in Fallujah.
