That's just what I was going to say. You can never see any of those nebula's with your own eyes. At least not that big. And it's also not to scale.
That's actually a negative thing the internet has done to average people who see these images with no explanation of manipulation and they expect to walk outside and see the andromeda galaxy about as big as a football right over their heads because of these artistic composites. They are beautiful yes, but also unintentionally deceiving.
I've been in astro clubs where adults didn't know they were looking right at the milky way.
