FWIW, at least one of my Grandfathers was a Freemason. I only ever heard my Dad mention it a few times. Wish I would have asked more about it.
I grew up doing the St. Jude bike-a-thons every year to raise money for little kids with diseases. My Grandfather's best friend was Danny Thomas, who founded St. Jude's, and was 33rd degree Freemason:
