In reading it again it occurs that religion is never equated to conspiracy in the articles we see. Some of us have made the connection but they are seldom, if ever, mentioned together. Understandable i guess in a place as relatively deeply Christian U.S.A. If you are trying to convey some understanding of the whys, whose and whens of conspiracy as Francesco Ciccolella is there why chance off-putting many be bringing religion into it.

"Very interesting."

which could be an indirect nod to a believe in God. Then of course the rabbit hole could be seen as a nod to hell. OOps, a wander.

This bit also, i think, could be seen to give a nod to include religious belief

Psychoticism is a core feature of so-called schizo-typal personality disorder, characterized in part by “odd beliefs and magical thinking” and “paranoid ideation.” In the language of psychiatry, it is a milder form of full-blown psychosis, the recurrent delusional state that characterizes schizophrenia. It’s a pattern of magical thinking that goes well beyond garden variety superstition and usually comes across socially as disjointed, uncanny or “off.”

Then again i guess not, as a belief in religion could be seen to be excluded by "It’s a pattern of magical thinking that goes well beyond garden variety superstition." In other words well beyond a belief of certainty in any one of the worldwide religions of today.
