Lets put it this way. The Barchart website is great in the way it subdivides companies into sectors. The biomedical sector has 450 companies, or something like that. It is by far the largest stock market sector.

When it comes producing a novel drug that meets regulatory approval so it can be subscribed, the capital requirement is immense. You already understand this.

The other major pharma companies that developed viable vaccines spent goodness knows how many millions. It comes with the territory.

Pfizer and Astra Zeneca are already cash rich companies that didn't have to float more stock to finance the R&D.

Interesting that no major pharma bothered to particpate in a collaborative venture.

The company has floated stock going on almost a year now. I wonder who owns substantial amounts of the outstanding.

Biden is trying his best to be optimistic about getting folks vaccinated in the US. It is still an uphill climb.

Worldwide, this herd immunity obective is nowheres close to a statistical reality.
