I guess you didn't read the whole thing then. 'god's'?
Seriously you don't see this? It's not my job. But then it goes directly into floyd case. And then it ends imploring people spread the story. A created agenda piece. And written too polished.
And this isn't contrived? It's a war? Pretty opinionated strong language from a privileged white couple. All that nice polished prose then he throws in bullshit and war? Looks like two people wrote it to me.
Another young man's life ended at the hands of police, for yet another bullshit reason in Minnesota. This war by police on our non-white brothers and sisters MUST END.
What do you want me to do? I'm a white person that spent my entire life immersed in other races and cultures on a equal basis. I spent my entire life treating people the same, treating blacks they way they tell me to treat them, as people with respect of who they are. Yes, I've read and felt the pressure of what is appropriate conduct. I've fought bigotry. I've lived on the right side of the tracks all my life and shared my life with all types of people. So, what are white people to do now, who've thought they did the 'right' things their whole lives? Certainly myself and a majority of people object vehemently at abuse, by police or anyone. So, am I cancelled now?
As we drove away, my wife and I were shaken. “Can you imagine,” she began, “Gods, if we'd been black,” I said at the same time.
I’ll spare you the entire conversation, for I'm sure you can guess at how it went, and what we are certain could have, and most certainly would have, happened to us had we not been white.
If you know someone who doesn't believe White Privilege is real, tell them this story, and ask them why we walked away scott free, if White Privilege doesn't exist.
