Eisenhower is from Kansas - period. The fact he lived in the first 2 years of his life in some dump in Texas doesn't detract from that fact. Kansas molded him and gave him his basic American values. You'll notice that the family didn't stay in Texas long, and fortunately none of his six siblings had to be born there.
