It's rarely mentioned but many firms offer their shareholders product discounts. Long ago, RadioShack gave 10% discounts to their shareholders. I used that to save 10% on one of their early business computer systems.
Disney sometimes has specials for DIS shareholders. For example, they'd offer free DisneyLand and Disney World day passes. Usually during slow times. Sometimes with little warning. Often all you needed was to own a single share to get the freebie.
