Isn't this what an option purchase looks like? You sell the shares and then "buy" them back? You can take ownership as you wish I presume so yes it looks like he took it into the Trust vs. personally.

4OR, one would think you only do that (placing it in a trust) if you believe in that investment.

A family trust is for your family and normally you don't put rubbish in there.
