I'm not so sure. Turns out AMD has been quoting market share in "markets we participate in". For instance, Intel has a great 5G edge server product, and AMD does not participate in this market segment so doesn't count it. Intel has a stated goal of keeping AMD under 20%, and so far succeeding at that.
NVIDIA still owns the GPU accelerator market, but word on the street is Intels Cuda conversion tools are very good. AMD not so much, so I suspect Intel is more likely to steal some of this market than AMD. Intel also has better products for the ML and AI markets where AMD currently has nothing.
