Kinda like waiting to release the news about a $40M contract to produce that was signed in November 2020, until 2021. Seems there might be a strategy involved with these releases.

The reason this is a fact, not an opinion:

As a fully reporting company, KBLB is required to report material events right away. Because it was not reported in a timely fashion means that Thompson did not consider the patent to have an impact that would be considered material.

I agree with his assessment. Canadian patents are not a big deal. That patent will not affect KBLB’s bottom line. A US patent would surely be considered a material event. Companies announce US patents all the time.

More often than not patents of any sort are relatively immaterial to the share price for publicly traded companies. My experience is that they create good volatility days for a stock where money can be made and then not much more.

Now, that certainly does not mean there aren't important patents that change a companies sp trajectory or even have significant impacts upon announcement.

It is just to say those are rare. I'd argue that even a US patent here would be relatively immaterial to price since the primary point still is production capability and its proof.

Given that this news was held, to me it fits the narrative that the effort here is to use a cycle of information to increase the share price of the stock. This is what the company shoudl be doing befroe an R/S and an uplist. I am hopeful that production news is somewhere in the next 60 days and hope there is other news before that to keep appreciating the sp.

The more the price appreciates before R/S the better. Longer-term the higher the R/S the lower shareholders' profits will be and the lower, the higher.

To be honest, and I am not saying you are Q, I am not sure why anyone would be disappointed with the company holding this and packaging it in a PR cycle to get thesp moving in the right direction before production news (assuming that comes).
