OT: SemBioSys
Funny how things come and go around...
When I was an undergraduate in Biochemistry at the University of Calgary, Dr. Moloney, who is the CSO, taught our full year biotechnology class.
A friend of mine worked in his lab for a summer. She said that they had to make duplicates of all their lab notes, and keep everything locked up in the lab when leaving. Nobody was allowed to take their notebooks home, even if you were writing a paper with Dr. Moloney.
At the time, he was quite passionate about what he thought he could do with these crops. Having looked back over my notes, it should come as no surprise that many of his examples were based on the plant system. At that time, I didn't have a full appreciation for his work and/or ideas.
At the least, I can say that SemBioSys is not a scam. Dr Moloney was very passionate about his approach.
