As the dead ex PM of Iran, what does he have to do with Iraq today? I'll admit I haven't read much about him lately.
You should. It would help explain some things.
Mossadegh was a democratically Arab elected leader at a time when that was rare. (It still is.. even more so) He was also a nationalist who nationalised his country's oil reserves. The US promptly overthrew his government and installed the Shah of Iran, a man who ruled like Saddam himself, with utter brutality... torture, rape rooms, gouging out of children's eyes, ripping off their arms... in front of parents, et cetera. (google SAVAK) So when the Iranian revolution took place we were not high on their list of friends.
You on the other hand start our history from their 1979 attack on our embassy (where everyone came home unharmed incidentally) so naturally it seems like this whole thing stems from them "just hating infidels". It's easy to do this because you pick a point in history to start from, and discount anything we did before that.
In your litany of things "they've" done why do you leave out us shooting down one of their civilian aircraft, an airbus 300?
But you said you were in CT and now you're in RI?
I'm nearer that part of 95 than anything on this side of the border. I'm assuming you travel Route 95?
