I think the key sentence here is ...

and the key words are "could eventually".
The way I understand it is that the Removable HD1213 40-Gb HDD Jukebox is just the first step in putting this whole infotainment package together, adding Wireless Protocol, VoiceNav, Video, etc., in future generation products as the market demands. I don`t know how much influence Toyota may have at this point, but I believe factory installation is still a couple of years down the road. I thought that the design changes to make the device compatible with all of the head units had been accomplished, and am wondering if the delay now might be related to making it WMA compliant.
In any event, let`s hope that the consumer will buy `em, and the dealers start flooding the Company with reorders.
