They don't even need to show up. They can come in and give a 5 minute closing argument about how much pepperoni should go on a pizza and then sit back and let the reps vote. Easiest case ever.
And the gravest travesty ever that trump will walk away allowed to do it again in 4 years. Unless he runs for governor of texas or something.
It's got to frustrating to be dems going through all this trouble to do the right thing only to have a bunch of retards blindly voting down everything possible just to be party spiteful and let trump go free literally, and then have to deal with this every day for at least the next two years being accused of inventing their own laws and illegally bypassing the repukecians just to get anything done for people and isn't against congressional policy, but is exactly what the repukes have done for 40 or more years themselves, who did make their own laws up.
Example...repukecians did pass their own amendment as some sort of emergency rule to appoint their trump supreme repukecian person in practically an illegal amount of time. It was also mitch that stopped obama's appointees by saying he can't appoint anyone close to an election. Obama had appointees a month away from elections held off personally by mitch. Evil hypocrite much?
