$PFE Pfizer said Tuesday it expects to sell about $15 billion

There are 2 forthcoming problems for PFE in Covid lottery market:

1. J&J, and whether the slogan of one shot is good enough will catch on. Think politics there. As one of the 65+ crowd I prefer Pfizer or Moderna for the jabs. But prefers is likely to have nothing to do with it. J&J could rev up volume fast.

2. NVAX is setup as potentially the "booster vaccine" of choice. They use 5 ug of protein, vs 30 ug for Pfizer, and 50 ug for Moderna. Why is this important? Moderna tried 100 ug, and had a severe "reactogenic effect", or a strong reaction to the 2nd shot. Thus, they cut the dose size down. So as various variants arise, both Pfizer and Moderna can't just add to the vaccine dose. They will have to be very precise in tweaking the mRNA for the variants. Whereas NVAX has plenty of running room to add more protein to their vaccine. Expanding their coverage to multiple variants. Much like the multi-valent Flu vaccine each yr. The main problem with NVAX currently is all of their trials have been run outside the US. They will need to get something started, and approved by the FDA, before becoming the future "booster" of choice.

PFE and Moderna have the lead on J&J for now. Recently PFE said:

“In the US, we had promised to provide 100 million doses by the end of the first quarter and we will be able to provide 120 right now"

Given there's no vaccine available in NC, my reply is: Ok, where is this 120 right now? Or does PFE really mean 120, instead of 120M? LOL
