Look I'm long AMC, but your post is not accurate. Short positions do not have time limits requiring them to be covered. They are in effect until they are covered(bought back). I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. We don't know what the current short interest is in AMC. Have they covered already or partially covered or maybe shorted more? We just don't know.
