Quantumscape has a viable technology and investors who took a stake when it was in R&D and a private company. It is a real company with real investors, and still their advancement is half a decade away.
They've even advanced their technology beyond the "running a drill motor" or "running a scooter" phase. That's why they've received the investment and went public with a SPAC rather than failing and latching onto a non-reporting, stinky pink shell company.
This company's tech did not advance, and it was very clear when the folks from looked under the hood.
I'll say it again, there is no universe in which a viable EV battery technology lands in the laps of bagholder of a non-reporting, stinky pink shell company. If the technology is viable, then real EV companies or venture capitalists will invest in it, and "going public" will be done in a manner which gives the company working capital for the stock being sold. This is simply a pump and dump.
