What will make a difference is that without having been infected or vaccinated, you are still capable of getting COVID and passing it on to others whether or not you are seriously ill

Another issue that remain unclear is will vaccinated people shed virus and be able to infect others, albeit at a lower efficiency or over a shorter time-frame ?

The question is, are you willing to keep wearing a mask and practice social distancing in order to prevent others from getting COVID?

Exactly. I will add in that vaccinated people are going to have to at least keep wearing masks for a while until the virus levels are driven way down.
