Rijnsburger Toon Stegmann says he has found a way to use a homemade mouthcap safely. With a lemon and some detergent, he shows how to make the mouthcap 'virus-killing'.

Stegmann currently spends almost all his time on coronavirus. He works at a biotechnology company working on a vaccine for the coronavirus that is currently gripping the entire world.

As protection against the virus, mouth caps are used in the care, but they are very scarce. This creates all kinds of initiatives to make your own mouthcaps. In the former ID-college at the Jan Evertsenlaan in Katwijk is one of those initiatives where volunteers make their own mouthcaps and collect them for (home) care. Among other things, Marente makes eager use of this.

Stegmann thinks this is a good initiative, but was concerned about the long (re)use of the mouthcaps. The mouthcap would not be able to protect against the virus long enough and a washing machine does not kill the virus.

A combination of lemon and dishwashing liquid does that, the Rijnsburger remembers from a thesis he wrote in the 1980s. His solution to make the mouthcap virus-killing is not a new invention. According to Stegmann, it was even patented, but it has since expired. Stegmann: 'No one has thought of it yet'.

Stegmann still places a warning: 'It is not a 'de-vulnerability shield'. You can always get infected with the virus. Mostly with your hands and through your face. So please take all other measures seriously.'

So if complementary is expansion (& it is Ronald, just say it) then Sanofi surely knows what PH means in pill form in the gut

or @ least per the Indians virosome breakthrough technology paper that I posted that they claim will be the benchmark for virosomes

(formerly Virosome Biologicals B.V.) both of which are organized under the laws of The Netherlands and were acquired in 2009. In this document, unless the context otherwise requires, "Mymetics" and the "Corporation" refer to Mymetics Corporation and its subsidiaries.
