The problem with Carbon Ion batteries is their low energy density, and similar to its lithium ion cousin they are not solid state batteries.

I worked in biodiesel and battery research lab for the army for a while as a chemical engineering student and really the only way to get the fastest charging, reduce degradation of the battery, and get the best energy density is to go solid state.

Many companies are now claiming to have this energy ready to scale or are very close to bringing the product on market.

Any one of these makes this along with any other liquid battery obsolete.

Lots of nice background there, Q7. However, there is zero chance that this new battery, or charger, will be ready for overall use for many years, let alone 2021. It will take much more R&D, which isn't cheap, and this stinky pink won't come close to bringing anything to market.


But again guys: when is COUV/Carbon supposed to hit commercial market? 2021!
