That's a very astute observation.

I don't believe Madison realized that the people who would be needed to impeach the president would themselves be corrupt.

Would an impeachment be successful now? Not with mitch in power.

And not just Mitch but the entire party. He's the worst of the lot but I'm sure that regardless of who was in his seat, the position would be the same. It's hard to believe that so many people, elected to serve their constituents, would opt to serve their demigod, instead.
