#81625 RE: value1008 #81621

Isn't the $600 bill passed per person so a family of 4 will get $2400.
At $2000 per person that would mean $8000 for that same family. Seems a bit rich to me. No one seems to care about huge eye popping deficits anymore. Eventually, they will catch up with us and we will all pay dearly for it.

value1008: I hope the Republicans vote it down again. That bill has 5K pages that no one has read. Passing that bill is morally bankrupt.
And I don't need another stimulus check. The U.S. debt will never be repaid. The GDP to debt ratio is beyond the point of no return.

Here's an idea. Do away with the Federal income tax for individuals and pass a 5 percent Federal sales tax and raise the corporate tax rate to 35 percent. And the rich would pay more taxes because they pay next to no personal income tax now.

A national sales tax would hurt the poor, but that can be fixed by giving them more food and rent assistance.

Or here's another idea. Give Hawaii to China in exchange for cancelling the U.S. debt they hold.

The U.S. is falling apart. And Trump has gone mental pushing the $2K payments and pardoning every low-life he can think of.

If Texas secedes and becomes a sovereign nation, that's where I'm moving.
