Yep. The basic difference in the right's conspiracy theories and that article is the article
has so many links in corroboration of the VERY complicated reality of the world we live in.

Bradley’s grant summary also specifies .. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/7223999-2015-Bradley-Competitive-Enterprise-Institute.html .. that CEI has long been funded by the Koch family fortune, Sarah Scaife, Barre Seid, Exxon, Murray Energy, and Pfizer. It also noted that Leo was on CEI’s board of legal advisors alongside Michael Greve of George Mason’s law school, which has received many millions in Koch money. (CEI .. https://www.desmogblog.com/competitive-enterprise-institute .. was founded by Fred Smith in the 1980s after he worked with Charles Koch at his Council for a Competitive Economy .. https://kochdocs.org/2019/06/07/charles-koch-chairman-council-competitive-economy-new-member/ , the predecessor of Citizens for a Sound Economy, now known as Americans for Prosperity. CEI has a long history of peddling climate change denial .. https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/a-two-decade-crusade-by-conservative-charities-fueled-trumps-exit-from-paris-climate-accord/2017/09/05/fcb8d9fe-6726-11e7-9928-22d00a47778f_story.html .)

Billionaire Charles Koch’s political arm, Americans for Prosperity, has announced that it will spend millions to push for the quick confirmation of Barrett to the Supreme Court. Koch has spent tens of millions through organizations he controls to attack the ACA over the past decade. He began subsidizing litigation against anti-corruption election laws .. https://kochdocs.org/2020/02/06/breaking-new-documents-show-charles-kochs-fortune-subsidizing-attacks-on-election-laws-since-more-than-40-years-ago/ .. in the 1970s.

NOTED some of those multi-millions are spent fighting "against anti-corruption election laws"

i think that says those particular millions are spent fighting for corrupt elections.

Agree totally re the confused bit.

Now, i hope you can understand a little why i - as i live alone and don't smoke when away from the computer, don't have a car to go on drives, or a desert to go for long walks in, lol - end up in a pub spending $6.30 for a glass of water with a bit of alcohol and coloring in it.

That all while remembering i once told a woman behind a bar that when the price hit $1 there was no way i'd pay it. The price of a schooner .. https://manofmany.com/lifestyle/drinks/beer-glass-sizes-in-australia-explained .. had just gone from 90 cents to 95 cents on that day. Must have been in, maybe, late 70s.

Yup totally agree with your "I'm ... so ... confused" except for one thing. Over the past two weeks i'm able to breath easier. Cutting smoking has made a real difference and though my experiment is becoming a bit too expensive (3-6 schooners most days now) it's been - it is - totally worth it.

How else to stop going completely bonkers? Life can be complicated, eh. ;-)
