All good points, however one of the other points made is that many states have become dependent on the welfare handouts and are getting disproportionate amounts without trying to get off the welfare. Welfare as in need requests and funding.
They aren't showing any initiative to get out of the trough.
It's obviously a balancing act AND a reality check.
The makers VS takers invective directed toward blue states and cities largely originates from the residents of states that ARE dependent upon the mostly higher GDP produced, taxed and redistributed from those states and, especially, from mega-metro areas.
