Why not? As late as the day before that "date certain" Petar was saying the audited financials would indeed be produced.
If he knew they wouldn't be ready, which he obviously did, he lied. That won't go down very well with the OSC.
And it didn't go down with traders. I have no doubt that many momo guys and short term traders bought into the expected financials. Those people rarely post on stock-specific message boards. When the financials were not produced, they dumped.
I suspect that the last of the shares in those nominee accounts were being dumped as well.
