Easy, Leo's failure to find a partner or Govt assistance made him desperate to survive. Nobody cares about the lab results at this moment. He has to prove the results in a trial before anyone will step forward to assist. Not a surprise at all and exactly why Dr B's replacement never occurred. Leo's only chance now is a sell of B or fold. Nobody will partner and assume all of Leo's debt for partial returns.
