This bill, with 21 cosponsors, just passed the House

It’s The Medical Marijuana Research Act:

Having a huge number of cosponsors is obviously an indicator of interest

But factors like bipartisan support, relevance and timeliness can be even more important

The CBD Legalization Bill has strong bipartisan support and is steadily amassing support with each passing month, both of which are very good signs

The single best sign would be seeing a companion bill filed in the Senate — that would send a strong signal to the House to consider taking it up for a vote

What Jonathan Miller repeatedly suggested earlier this year was that Mitch is interested in attaching a CBD Legalization Bill to a must-pass omnibus bill — that’s a different methodology used to pass legislation and it’s what we saw happen when Mitch inserted Federal Hemp Legalization and Complete Descheduling to the much larger must-pass 2018 Farm Bill — so running the Senate clearly has a lot of advantages and gives Mitch options that are unavailable to most Senators

Senate Just Passed CBD and Marijuana Research Expansion Act

Had only 11 cosponsors, but just like the House’s version passed last week, it was a bipartisan bill — 6 Repubs and 5 Dems
