Hydrogen production doesn't need NG anyway, just water...btw I have a 5k psi old Corblin H2 Compressor in my back yard...was used to make H bombs...been sitting collecting rust since 93...the documentation is lost though...we used to have a hydrogen generator and H2 tank...I used to fill up balloons and make wicks, then light the wicks and let em go...really quick boom...
If the natural gas (which contains methane, a potent greenhouse gas) is part of a biogas that is coming from a landfill or from emissions of cattle something needs to be done with it, rather than letting it enter the upper atmosphere (where it would do far more harm than carbon dioxide gas).
