I remember watching it unravel.....Fraud exposed
The fraud began to unravel rapidly on March 19, 1997, when Filipino Bre-X geologist Michael de Guzman reportedly committed suicide by jumping from a helicopter in Indonesia.[11][12] A body was found four days later in the jungle, missing the hands and feet, and with the penis "surgically removed".[13] In addition, the body was reportedly mostly eaten by animals and was only identified from molars and a thumbprint.[14] (According to journalist John McBeth, a body had gone missing from the morgue of the town from which the helicopter flew. The remains of "de Guzman" were found only 400 metres from a logging road. No one saw the body except another Filipino geologist who claimed it was de Guzman. And one of the five women who considered themselves his wife was receiving monetary payments from somebody long after the supposed death of de Guzman.[13]) A week later, on March 26, 1997, the American firm Freeport-McMoRan, a prospective partner in developing Busang, announced that its own due-diligence core samples, led by Australian geologist Colin Jones, showed "insignificant amounts of gold".[15] A frenzied sell-off of shares ensued and Suharto postponed signing the mining deal. Bre-X demanded more reviews and commissioned a review of the test drilling. Results were not favorable to them, and on April 1, 1997, Bre-X refused to comment.

I was in the pennies when the pot stocks hit. I had one I sold for 50k one day and was forever condemned after that.

I felt like I hit the jackpot, but it turned out to be just another scam. The taxes really suck, I don't know how day traders make it.

All I remember now is looking back and feeling bad for all the other people I might have got into those POS stocks on my words from a message board.

I tried to warn others in new ones for a bit, but that didn't work either.

my only message to you is to sell now, now, now, now.

I had an iLube friend that was up 200k in a stock that he held, he refused to sell and the thing went to shit, then he blamed me for being a shorty or whatever the fuck they call it now.

I didn't care, had no interest but just wanted him to cash in. It's like taking your chips to a casino window and getting the fuck out of there.

I will never forget the night that my ex and I took our Moms to the casino for their birthdays which happened to be a week apart. We all got 200 a piece and went on our way.

I was kicking ass at the blackjack table while they were losing their ass on the slots. As soon as I stopped giving them more money to play, they gave up. My mom, who wasn't sure what I was up to, sat next to me at the table and was begging for me to leave.

As I was betting 200 a hand, she kept stomping on my foot and kicking my leg under the table. I got the hint and cashed out still with 2 grand. We all went to breakfast and laughed and sang happy birthday..

I think I bought some lawn furniture with those proceeds, but I honestly don't remember. It was my ex who pointed out later that they burned through another 3 grand that I gave them.

It was an epic night, but also a learning experience. The 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth" kinda thing.

Be smart with those gains crossball. and never ever trust an OTC stock.
