Since all we type on here are opinions, linked to other opinions for the most part, then you have the right to your opinion that I somehow leaned toward a false equivalence. In a law abiding society antifa has no more right to bash in a nazi head than a nazi has to bash a antifa in the head. You know how many cities have handled a nazi protest? When that group actually filed for a permit? They set up their little corral fenced in area a mile away from events but are visible and no one from the event or groups can approach them within a certain distance. You can't even hear them spewing hate. But they got their protest, and then they were escorted away. Cost some tax dollars but no one could say their rights weren't recognized. Unfortunately it doesn't always work out that way. States and cities have their own statutes on assembly. The feds only tell states you have to give people their rights to free speech and peaceful assembly. Then they leave it up to the States to figure it out.

Definition of equivalence

1a : the state or property of being equivalent
b : the relation holding between two statements if they are either both true or both false so that to affirm one and to deny the other would result in a contradiction
